Often, at trainings and classes, students inquire about items that other students, trainers, or instructors have; or about reference materials to read. So, at training we will have the "Camp Store" which will have select items that support tracking and the JHPTS program.
The following items will be available at the Camp Store during In-House trainings. Sure you can get them elsewhere, but the store will be offered as a convenience to students on site who forgot their own or "gotta have it now."
There isn't a "MANUAL" for human visual tracking. Many have tried to write and present "guides" to how to track.
But it all boils down to the fact, that the best way to learn human visual tracking, or animal tracking for that matter, is to have constant hands-on, EYES-ON practice, training, and mentorship.
A person desiring to really learn tracking, must get into the nuts and bolts of learning to see sign. And then being able to interpret what they are seeing. The tracker's eye/mind does not see anything that the average person sees. It's his/her knowledge, skill, ability, whatever you want to call it, to actually "see" what the sign is telling him, that makes the tracker.
However, we have included some references that may assist you in your book learning of tracking.
What is best? Get out there and get some dirt time!
